More Beauty

These are some of the wonders in my yard, That gave rise yesterday to my teary sense that the beauty that surrounds me is so strong that feel I could burst. Not that it's all about flowers - not at all. It's about the vibrancy of life, its fragility, its impermanence. But, this place....

  3. Aren't the columbines/aquilegias magnificent? It always seems as if they are opening their very souls through their pretty little faces. Iris are so much more guarded and roses only open themselves little by little.

  5. Hi Jennifer: Thank you so much for the columbine photograph. Those flowers inspire me every time I see them; they've been a favorite since childhood. In fact, tonight I found one on the university campus near my house, and it was so beautiful I PICKED IT--a public flower, and I stole one--something I haven't done since I was very young. I think I really needed that beautiful flower.
